BASIC HANDGUN
8 hours of Basic Handgun Safety & Handling
BASIC HANDGUN is divided into 2 phases. The first phase is all classroom and practical application using a training pistol at CROSSFIRE TACTICAL SOLUTIONS The second phase is reviewing the material from Phase 1 and experience live-fire shooting with hands-on guidance and monitoring by the instructors.
Fee: Phase 1 $170, Phase 2 $55, Combo $210
Ammunition: 50 rounds
Phase 1 (AM) –No Live Fire, classroom only.
Phase 2 (PM) – 50 rounds of caliber of choice

OBJECTIVE
The program is designed to provide a quick hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to legal concept of gun ownership and home/personal procection.

Phase 1: Classroom orientation (4 hrs) Phase 2: Live fire shooting range (4 hrs)
COURSE SUBJECT
The following technique and concepts will be introduced at a reasonable pace for the maximum retention

Phase 1: Safety and the Law
These concepts are instructed in classroom format
- 4 Basic Firearms Safety Rules
- Type of guns & ammunition
- LAW: Home Safety & Transporting Firearms
- LAW: MO Law regarding possession, storage and transporting firearms
- LAW: Brief overview of Use of Deadly Force in MO
- Loading & Unloading (practical application)
NEEDED GEAR
Phase 1: Safety and the Law
- Semi Auto or Revolver Pistol (unloaded)
- NO Live Ammunition (dry practice only)
- Dummy Rounds (5 minimum) - Also Available onsite
- Eye protection (Prefer clear with no color or slight tint)
- Ear protection (both outer and inner protections are recommended)
- Loading & Unloading (practical application)
- Note taking utensil
- Water and snacks (also available on-site for purchase)
- Gun bag/case to store and transport firearms

Phase 2: Handgun Practical Application
Students are introduced to safe handling of their gun and familiarization of marksmanship is given in a hands on application
- Review: Firearms Safety
- Review Loading & Unloading
- Elements of Marksmanship
- Gun practical application
- Trigger Drills: Live-fire (instructor monitored)
- Self Application: Live-fire (instructor monitored)
NEEDED GEAR
Phase 2: Handgun Practical Application
- Semi Auto Pistol (9mm, 40 cal., 45 cal.) - Rental Available
- Ammunition (Students must bring 100 rounds)
- Dummy Rounds (5 minimum) - Also Available onsite
- Eye protection (Prefer clear with no color or slight tint)
- Ear protection (both outer and inner protections are recommended)
- Cap or Hat (highly recommended)
- Appropriate attire for weather & flying hot brass
- Marking Pen (Sharpies)
- Water and snacks (also available on-site for purchase)
- Gun bag/case to store and transport firearms
